XML DOM - Element Object getAttributeNS Method


Hello folks! welcome back to a new edition of our tutorial on XML DOM. In this tutorial post, we are going to be studying about the Element Object getAttributeNS Method.

The Element Object getAttributeNS method is used to retrieve an attribute value by local name and namespace URI.

Syntax

The following below is the syntax to use the XML DOM getAttributeNS method -

elementObj.getAttributeNS(namespace,  name)

Parameter Details

Example

Following are the node_ns.xml contents -

The following example below illustrates the usage of the Element Object getAttributeNS method -

Save this file as elementmethod_getattributens.html on the server's path (this file and the node_ns.xml should be on the same path in your server). This is going to give us the following output below -
