The removeNamedItemNS method is used to remove a node specified by local name and namespace URI.

Syntax
The following below is the syntax to use the XML DOM removeNamedItemNS Method -
nodemapObject.removeNamedItemNS(namespaceURI, localName)
Parameter Details
S.No. | Parameter & Description |
---|---|
1 | namespaceURI It is the namespaceURI of the node to remove. It is of type DOMString. |
2 | localName It is the local name of the node to remove. It is of typeDOMString. |
Return Value
It returns the removed node.

Save this file as namednodemapmethod_removenameditemns.html on the server path (this file and node.xml should be on the same path in your server). This gives us the following output below -
