The XML DOM lookupPrefix method returns back the closest prefix that's defined in the current namespace for the namespace URI.

Syntax
The following below is the syntax to use the lookupPrefix Method -
nodeObject.lookupPrefix(DOMString namespace URI)
Parameter Details

1 | namespaceURI Based on this parameter prefix is returned. It is of type DOMString. |
Return Value
This XML DOM method returns associated namespace prefix or null if none is found.
