The PHP str_pad() function is used to pad a string to a new length.

syntax

Following below is the syntax to use this function -

str_pad(string,length,pad_string,pad_type)


Parameter Details

It specifies the what side to pad the string


Return Value

This function returns the padded string.

When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -
