The built-in link() function creates a hard link from an existing target with a specified link name.

Syntax
Following below is the syntax to use this function -
bool link ( string $target , string $link )
READ: PHP | is_link() Function
This PHP function is not an HTML link, but a link in the filesystem. This function does not work on the Windows systems.
Return Value
This built-in function returns true on success, or false on failure.
Example
Try out the below example -
<?php $target = "/PhpProject/sample.txt"; $link = "/PhpProject/linktest.txt"; link($target, $link); echo "linked successfully"; ?>
Output
When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -
linked successfully
