The built-in PHP disk_total_space() function returns the total space of a specified directory in bytes.

Syntax

Following below is the syntax to use this function -

float disk_total_space ( string $directory )


Given a string holding a directory, the disk_total_space() function can return the total number of bytes on the corresponding file system or disk partition.

Return Value

This built-in function returns the total space of a specified directory in bytes.

Example

Try out the below example -

   echo disk_total_space("C:");
   echo "\n";
   echo disk_total_space("E:");
?>

Output

When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -

277320036352
209714147328
