The built-in PHP diskfreespace() function returns the free space of a specified directory in bytes. This built-in function is an alias of the disk_free_space() function.

Syntax

Following below is the syntax to use this function -

diskfreespace(directory)


Return Value

This built-in function returns the free space of a specified directory in bytes.

Example

Try out the below example -

   echo diskfreespace("C:");
   echo "\n";
   echo diskfreespace("E:");
?>

Output

When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -

224159571968
209571344384
