The built-in PHP copy() function makes a copy of the source file to the destination.

Syntax
Following below is the syntax to use this function -
bool copy ( string source, string dest )
READ: PHP | chown() Function
If a file is copied with no size, the copy() function returns false, but the file can be correctly copied.
Return Value
This built-in PHP function returns TRUE on success and FALSE on failure.
Example
Try out the below example -
<?php echo copy("/PhpProject/sample.txt", "/PhpProject/sample1.txt"); ?>
Output
When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -
