Hello folks! welcome back to a new section of our tutorial on PHP. In this tutorial guide, we are going to be studying about the PHP array_intersect_ukey() Function.

The built-in array_intersect_ukey() function in PHP returns an array which contains all the values of array1 which have matching keys that are present in all the arguments.

Syntax

Following below is the syntax to use this function -

array_intersect_ukey ( $array1, $array2 [, $array3..., callback $key_compare_func] );


Parameter Details

array1(Required)

The first array is the array that the others will be compared with.

array2(Required)

This is an array to be compared with the first array

3

array3(Optional)

This is an array to be compared with the first array

key_compare_func(Required)

User defined call back function.

Return Value

It returns False if there is any error.

Example

Try out the below example -

   function key_compare_func($k1, $k2) {
      if ($k1 == $k2)
         return 0;
      
      else if ($k1 > $k2)
         return 1;
      
      else
         return -1;
   }
	
   $input1 = array('blue'=>1, 'red'=>2, 'green'=>3, 'purple'=>4);
   $input2 = array('green'=>5, 'blue'=>6, 'pink'=>7, 'black'=>8);
   
   $result = array_intersect_ukey($input1, $input2, "key_compare_func");
   var_dump($result);
?> 

Output

When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -

array(2) {
  ["blue"]=>
  int(1)
  ["green"]=>
  int(3)
}
