PHP array_intersect() Function

PHP array_intersect() function returns an array containing all the values of array1 that are present in all the arguments.


Following below is the syntax to use this function -

array array_intersect ( array $array1, array $array2 [, array $array3 ...] );

Return Value

It returns an array containing all the entries from array1 that are present in any of the other arrays.


Try out the below example -

   $input1 = array("a" => "BMW", "Maruthi", "blue");
   $input2 = array("b" => "BMW", "yellow", "Maruthi");
   $result = array_intersect($input1, $input2);


When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -

Array (
   [a] => BMW
   [0] => Maruthi
