Python Dictionary str() Method with example

Python dictionary str() method produces a printable string which represents a dictionary.


The following below is the syntax for Python Dictionary str() method -

str( dict )

Parameter Details

  • dict - This is the dictionary.

Return Value

It returns a string representation.


The following below is a simple example -


dict = {'Name': 'Paul', 'Age': 20};
print "Equivalent String : %s" % str (dict)

Below is the output of the above example -

Equivalent String : {'Age': 20, 'Name': 'Paul'}
