- key - Key to be searched for in the dictionary.
- default - This is the value to be returned in case key does not exist.
Return Value
It returns a value for the given key. If the key is not available, then it returns default value None.
Example
The following below is a simple example -
#!/usr/bin/python dict = {'Name': 'Paul', 'Age': 20} print "Value : %s" % dict.get('Age') print "Value : %s" % dict.get('Education', "Never")
Output
Below is the output of the above example -
Value : 20 Value : Never
