Python String swapcase() Method with example



Hello guys! Welcome back to another section of my tutorial on Python. In this tutorial guide, we are going to be discussing about the Python String swapcase() method.

Python String swapcase() function returns a copy of the string in which all the case-based characters have had their case swapped.

Syntax

The following below is the syntax for Python String swapcase() method -

str.swapcase( );

Parameter Details

Return Value

This returns a copy of the string in which all the case-based characters have had all their cases swapped. 

Example

The following below is a simple example -

#!/usr/bin/python

str = "this is string example....wow!!!";
print str.swapcase()

str = "THIS IS STRING EXAMPLE....WOW!!!";
print str.swapcase()

Output
Below is the output of the above example -

THIS IS STRING EXAMPLE....WOW!!!
this is string example....wow!!!
