Python String istitle() Method



Hello dear readers! Welcome back to another edition of our tutorial on Python. In this tutorial guide, we are going to be discussing about the Python String Istitle() method.

The Python String istitle() method checks whether all the case-based letters in the string which follows the non-casebased letters are uppercase and all other case-based characters are lowercase.

Syntax

The following below is the syntax for Python String istitle() method -

str.istitle()


Parameter Details

  • NA.

Return Value

This returns True if the string is a titlecased string and there is at least one character. Otherwise it returns False.

Example

The following below is a simple example -

#!/usr/bin/python

str = "This Is String Example...Wow!!!";
print str.istitle()

str = "This is string example....wow!!!";
print str.istitle()

Output
Below is the output of the above example -

True
False
