Python String Isalpha() Method

Python String isalpha() method checks whether the string consists of the alphabetic characters only.


The following below is the syntax for Python String isalpha() method -


Parameter Details

  • NA.

Return Value

It returns True if all characters in the string are alphabetic and there is at least one character, otherwise it returns False.


The following below is a simple example -


str = "this";  # No space & digit in this string
print str.isalpha()

str = "this is string example....wow!!!";
print str.isalpha()
