Python String Isalnum() Method

Hello guys! Welcome back to another section of my tutorial on Python. In this tutorial guide, we are going to be discussing about the Python String Isalnum() method.

The Python String isalnum() method checks whether the string consists of alphanumeric characters. 


The following below is the syntax for the Python String isalnum() method -


Parameter Details

  • NA.

Return Value

It returns True if all characters in the string are alphanumeric or there is at least one character, otherwise it returns False.


The following below is a simple example -


str = "this2020";  # No space in this string
print str.isalnum()

str = "this is string!!!";
print str.isalnum()
