An Ultimate Guide to WordPress Media Library

Hello guys! Welcome back to another section of my tutorial on WordPress. In this tutorial post, i will be discussing about Media Library and how to upload a media file to your site.

A Media Library consists of images, videos, files and audios that you can upload and as well add to the content when writing a Post or Page. Here you can view, add, edit or even delete any media object if not needed anymore.

Following are the steps in accessing WordPress Media Library.

Step 1 - Click on Media → Library button.

Step 2 - You can view media objects like images, audios and videos. Click on Add Media button.

Step 3 - The Upload New Media page will then be displayed. In my next tutorial post, i will put you through the steps to upload a media object.

RECOMMENDED: Html Document structure 

Step 4 - You can view a bar as shown below.

The various tabs that appear have the following functions-

List View - It displays the images and videos in a list form.

Grid View - It displays the images and videos in a grid view.

Filter the images and videos - Filters the images and videos.

Search Box - Helps to search a particular image by inserting the name into the box.
