WordPress Media Settings



Hello dear readers! Welcome back to another edition of our tutorial on WordPress. In this tutorial post, we will be explaining how to Configure WordPress Media Settings.

WordPress Media Settings is used in setting the height and width of images, which will be used on your site.

Following below are the steps that can be used to access the media settings -

Step 1 - Click on Settings → Media option.



Step 2 - The Media Settings page is displayed as shown in the below screenshot.


The following are the details of the fields on the media settings -

  • Thumbnail Size - It sets the size of the thumbnail.
  • Medium Size - This sets the width and height of medium size images.
  • Large Size - It sets the width and height of the large size images.
  • Uploading files - It is used to arrange an uploaded image into year and month based folder.

Step 3 - After you finish setting the dimensions in pixels, click on the Save Changes button. This saves your media settings information.
